Growing up in South Florida Ned was always on the water; so indoor activities did not figure into his lifestyle. A dozen+ years ago serendipity got him into a yoga school and he became a committed practitioner. Following Bikram, Barkan, Iyenger, Anusara, and Ashtanga along the way. Ned took his teacher training with his old friend Phillip at Anuttara Yoga Shala. Ned took his passion for activism to a new level with Seane Corn, Hala Kouri and Suzanne Sterling at their Off the Mat, Into the World intensive workshop.
“I have been blessed to have had some truly gifted teachers on and off the mat. It is a joy for me to share a bit of what I have learned.” Eager to help others learn sound fundamentals Ned’s all levels “Slow Flow” gives students time to breath in each asana. New students develop strength and flexibility while experienced yogis learn to explore the nuances of each asana. But just because he goes slowly does not mean you skip the work. “Yoga is about doing the work. If we come and put in the energy; yoga will repay us 10-fold.”
“Like most western yoga students I started simply for the physical benefits but quickly realized I was benefiting emotionally as well. By strengthening our bodies, our minds are able to relax. Once our minds relax, we are better able to connect with our personal truths and our higher purpose.”
