Welcome to The Gym Fort Lauderdale Beach.  Often referred to as a gem, we are the only gym
in the United States of America with an open roof top workout area that has panoramic views
of the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal waterway. Our setting allows us the privilege to witness
breathtaking sunrises and sunsets while working out, with the option to cool down by stepping
directly out to the beach afterwards. The Gym’s location has 30 years of history as a health club
and is presently a workout location envied by gym lovers around the world. In fact, we get visitors
from all over the world all year long.  The rooftop might be our most talked about amenity,
but the rooftop is only a fraction of what makes The Gym so special.




As a beginner, I was somewhat hesitant to fully embark on a journey towards fitness. Within just a few months of joining The GYM, I’ve gained the tools and the support to not just set my personal goals, but to consistently surpass them. With the help of the staff, the incredible trainers, and the warm welcome from other members, I’ve learned that we can all be unstoppable. Now I’m hooked, and can truly say there’s no other place I rather workout!

Tony Rodgers

Tony has been involved in the fitness world for the past 10 years and fascinated with what the body can achieve.  He specializes in strength, power, performance, corrective exercise and overall wellness.

Nicole DeFreece

Nicole’s passion for fitness began in 2006 after conquering her own weight loss battle.

Nicole had poor eating habits, and was physically de-conditioned. By the age of thirty she had reached her heaviest weight. None of her clothes fit and it was discouraging to go shopping; reality set in.

Aaron Cline

Aaron has been a certified personal trainer for 11 years. He has worked with children, teens and adults of all ages. His specialties are body re-composition, lean muscle gain, sports performance and wellness.

Joe Mazzella

Joe Mazzella has been in the fitness industry for over 17 years and is passionate about health and well being. Joe is devoted and excited about working with people and his experience in the US Military contributes to his work ethic.



Debra Heslin

Debra Heslin is an EYT-500 (Experienced Yoga Teacher) as well as Master Practitioner in Integrative Life Coaching.  She is also a Success Principles Trainer, and Passion Test Facilitator.  Debra uses these teachings as well as the ancient teachings in yoga to incorporate peace and stillness into her classes. 

Marilyn DeMartini

Marilyn’s passion for, and professional interest in physical fitness and sports began with her first job as a fitness instructor at Elaine Powers Figure Salons in Pittsburgh, PA. She continued to teach yoga and fitness classes in Boston, escalated her commitment when she became certified in 2000 as a Fitness Instructor by Fitness Institute International in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Patty Jo Evans

Patty Jo grew up in Michigan and recently relocated to South Florida. She left the corporate world in 2005 to pursue a career in health and fitness, which was her true passion. She obtained a certification in Personal Training and Group fitness.

Melissa Mucci

Melissa’s journey into yoga began in 2006, during which the time she was a police officer in New York seeking relief from debilitating injuries, depression and anxiety.
